Many people prefer to call a business to express what they want or what they are looking for, which is great. However, in the case of website or graphic design it is better for everyone to have a written copy. Having a written copy of what is needed protects all parties. When we have a written copy it is great to refer back to what the client wants, plus when you work with more than one client at a time it is easy to confuse what is needed. To stop any confusion on our end we require all employees to refer to their written client order. Plus, since we have an "open door" work policy I can't tell you how many times requiring employees to use and refer to their written orders has helped us. Since we have a number of our employees that work for us from online it is a necessity to have e-mails or written orders. We are based in Florida but since we will be opening a Montana branch in the near future we started using Graphic Artist and Web Designers in Montana to get us ready for our Montana transition.
